Red Barn & Berry Farm Wedding

Alan + Marsha celebrated their union at The Red Barn & Berry Farm in Kindred, ND. I could not have been more excited to capture their wet, rainy wedding day! Being that 2020 has been a rollercoaster of a year, I knew that if Covid couldn’t stop their plans, rain would be nothing! Boy, oh boy, was I right!

Since Alan also works as a firefighter, it was only fitting to incorporate that into their first look. The first look would be the first time Alan saw Marsha in her beautiful wedding dress. Who knew it would be raining during this? Well, that didn’t stop anything! I handed these two an umbrella, Alan tossed his to the side; he was ready to see his gorgeous bride!

Alan and Marsha were up for all of my crazy tactics! After dinner, the sun decided to make an appearance and created the most beautiful sunset. I bolted into the reception location, yelling, “ALAN, MARSHA – COME!!!” Without hesitation, they RAN after me, unaware of what the heck was happening. In those few seconds, I had the opportunity to capture a lovely moment of them together as the sun settled in the distance.

Throughout the evening many pieces of advice were given to the newlyweds.  Please allow me to leave you with one of my favorites – wise words from Alan’s brother, “Spend the extra money and get a nice couch.”
